The Sepitam-EX2FE-800 is a UTP-based Ethernet Extender designed to extend the reach of 10/100 Mbps Ethernet links over copper cabling. On the central network side, this device can connect to one or multiple remote units, enabling long-distance support for connected IP devices such as IP cameras, network switches, or wireless access points.

Unlike standard Ethernet networks, which are limited to 100 meters, this model supports extended transmission distances depending on the link speed:

• Up to 800 meters at 10 Mbps

• Up to 500 meters at 100 Mbps

This allows reliable data transmission over significantly longer distances on copper infrastructure.

Ports and Connection Architecture

The device is equipped with two 10/100 Mbps RJ45 ports, each optimized for different transmission distances:

• One port dedicated to short-distance links

• One port dedicated to long-distance links

This port separation improves signal stability and reduces interference on extended cable runs.

Transmission Medium and Cable Compatibility

The Sepitam-EX2FE-800 supports commonly used copper cables:

• 10Base-T: UTP Cat3/4/5 cables, up to 800 meters

• 100Base-TX: UTP Cat5 / Cat5e cables, up to 500 meters

This compatibility allows network upgrades without replacing existing cabling, significantly reducing deployment costs.
